Travel program

01

Day 1 – Galway & Irish coffee course

Flight in the morning from Arlanda. We land in Dublin at lunchtime and stop at a traditional "carvery" for lunch. We pass by the capital Dublin for a quick taste, but we will not stay here until the end of the trip.

On the way we stop at Ireland's oldest whiskey distillery that is still in use and undergo an "Irish coffee master class" to set the tone for the trip. We continue west towards the west coast and the popular city of Galway, where we check into a nice hotel. The welcome dinner is served in a lively pub with popular Irish live music or "trad".

Lunch and dinner are included.

02

Day 2 – Connemara Country Life

We start the day with a brief introduction to Ireland's history, present and culture and an exciting guided walk in Galway with our knowledgeable tour guide who shares extensive knowledge of the city's history and anecdotes. There is free time for lunch on your own and your own walks in the university city.

In the afternoon, we visit a farm with a sheepdog demonstration. We are in the Connemara region, known for its agriculture but also for its picturesque nature where the coast and mountains come together. Dinner on your own in Galway.

Breakfast is included.

03

Day 3 – Cliffs of Moher & the Atlantic Ocean

After breakfast, we prepare for one of the most sought-after highlights of the trip: the Cliffs of Moher, where the cliffs create a stunning abyss towards the ocean, in beautiful shades of turquoise and emerald green, if it is a sunny day. Lunch on your own.

Further on, we pass by the city of Limerick and over the River Shannon and arrive at a farm with a rich history and with genuine experiences that make us believe that we are going on a time trip back to the 19th century. We embark on a short stretch of the Ring of Kerry and get wonderful views at sunset (pray it won't rain). Dinner is served at a local inn near Killarney.

Breakfast and dinner are included.

04

Day 4 – Ring of Kerry & Cobh

We continue to explore the impressive scenery of the coast and move on. We pass by the city of Cork.

The adventure continues in colorful Cobh, a small port with iconic architecture. We check into a hotel with a rich history near the last port of call of the Titanic and hear lesser-known stories about the people who boarded here on their way to America on that fateful day in 1912.

Here we take a short, leisurely walk down memory lane, and for those who dare, there is a steep hill that promises a photogenic view. Lunch and dinner on your own.

Breakfast is included.

05

Dag 5 – Kilkenny & Rock of Cashel

We leave the charming town of Cobh and head towards Dublin. On the way we stop by the mighty Rock of Cashel. This magnificent site, once the seat of the Kings of Munster, offers a unique insight into Ireland's past, with its characteristic round tower.

We head towards another cozy city, with origins from the Middle Ages: Kilkenny. Here we walk with our tour guide past Kilkenny Castle. We enjoy some free time for individual discoveries and lunch on our own.

In the afternoon we head towards Dublin. After a short bus tour of the capital, and an orientation walk to familiarize ourselves with the city's geography, history and culture, we check into our centrally located hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Breakfast and dinner are included.

06

Day 6 – Dublin

The last full day in Ireland we get the chance to visit what interests us most in Dublin, on our own, but not before a city walk past the most exciting highlights of the capital, from Temple Bar to the Molly Malone statue and Trinity College where our guide rounds off the walking tour.

Some choose a visit to Dublin Castle, others want to see The Book of Kells, others want to visit the Guinness Storehouse (all on our own, not included) or simply stroll along the shopping street Grafton Street. With tips and recommendations from our tour guide, you are free to explore this fascinating capital at your own pace.

A traditional dinner is served together to round off our exciting journey, with Irish dancing near the hotel.

Breakfast and dinner are included.

07

Day 7 – Farewell, Ireland!

After breakfast we leave the hotel in central Dublin and head to the airport, after an eventful journey. One last time we pass by the picturesque Customs House in the Irish capital, as well as the historic GPO with so many dramatic memories of the Proclamation of the Republic.
